Performing a soft (normal) reset clears all active program memory and shut downs all active programs running in the phone. This is very useful when the phone is shows slower than normal performance, you can also soft reeset your phone when a software app is not running properly. when soft reset is performed all unsaved work is permanently lost.
Here are easy and simple steps to SOFT RESET your HTC HD Phone.
- Hold your phone firmly, while the front screen is facing down.
- Open with your thumb or finger the back cover, by lifting upwards from the left side of the cover, ( there is a lock button which keeps cover attached to phone, you can detach the cover from there.
- The RESET button is at the left side bottom below the battery and SIM card slot. Use any small object that has an unsharp and pointed tip to press the RESET button.
Now Your phone restarts and Home screen is displayed.
- Replace the back cover, fix the right side of the back cover first. Then press down the cover into place. The cover is locks itself on the body.

- Connect the phone with the computer. Open Windows Explorer on the PC to copy the PowerPoint presentation file to My Computer /YOUR HTC PHONE (Your Phone will show in My Computer).
- Now Use the PowerPoint Mobile software on your phone to view the presentation file.

Un-fortunately HTC does not have any such Mobile App installed in it. We need a third-party application to connect our HTC phone remotely with another device. There are some good remote desktop connectivity apps there, Google them and download on your phone.

Many People while using use Windows Live Messenger cannot see their friends online. Here is the fix:
First make sure that the phone clock’s Home setting is correctly set to the date and time according to your own area. Then make the Visiting area’s date and time setting also the same as the Home area settings you have made. Now when you are online in Windows Live Messenger. Follow these steps: 1. (click) Tap Menu > Change appearance. 2. (click) Tap Menu > Account options. 3. (click) Tap Switch account and login again in Windows Messenger.

Choose the Picture capture resolution settings. When Selecting a high resolution, it shortens the focal length adjustment, making the zoom in/out function auto disabled. This happens when the photo capture resolution is more than 1 mega pixel.

First Select the Weather tab, then choose the area to Select your city. On the Select City screen, you browse the list of cities to choose your city. Now Tap Menu > Weather Options. Finally Choose the Download weather data automatically option. This will let you have auto Download / update date while you are roaming.

On first time Skype use after resetting, Skype not shows any contacts even if you already added contacts in your account. To fix this , close the skype application and then log in again. You will view the contact List.

Google Nexus One Phone specifications as appeared on the FCC Web site and reveals some of the technical Info.
These specs appeared few minutes ago on the FCC website, the U.S. agency responsible for the certification of devices that are wireless based. The Google Phone begins to confirm some details we heard earlier.
Nexus OneAka Google Phone Is undoubtedly built by HTC (HTC NEXUSONE is the code name given by the Federal Communication Commission). It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g and Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR. The phone is compatible with European networks, and quad-band GSM and tri-band UMTS / HSUPA. The device will thus be able to download and upload at high speed, at equal to 7.2 Mbps and 2 Mbps (downlink / uplink respectively).
